Choice Music Events
Choice Music Events is the performance division of
The Foundation For Music Education. It is dedicated to providing all band, choir, and orchestra students positive, educational, and enriching performance opportunities while enhancing the music education profession.
Choice Music Events focuses not only on developing and offering exciting new performance events, but also with our Board of Trustees, strives to maintain the standard for quality, educationally sound concert and festival events for students.
Event Opportunities
Showcase of Music events provide bands, choirs, and orchestras a positive and educationally sound festival opportunity.
The
National Youth Concert provides outstanding high school bands, choirs, and orchestras an opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York and Bass Hall in Fort Worth, Texas (by invitation only).
The
Performance of Record event offers instrumental groups a quality performance and recording opportunity. The event is non-adjudicated and each venue will have a pre-selected recording engineer.
The
Remember The Heroes concert series offers performing groups the opportunity to pay tribute to United States military heroes by way of a patriotic public performance in the shadows of the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
The
Honors Concert Series offers top university music programs the opportunity to create a once-in-a-lifetime performance experience at Carnegie Hall in New York.
The
Mark of Excellence recorded music contest offers bands, choirs, and orchestras the unprecedented opportunity to earn national recognition for their musical achievement. Mark of Excellence includes the
National Wind Band Honors,
National Choral Honors and the
National Orchestra Honors.
The
Chamber Choir Festival provides chamber choirs with 12-32 singers an adjudicated festival followed by a clinic with a renowned clinician. Performances will take place at First Methodist Houston. Group photos and recordings will be offered to each performing ensemble.
