"... We have had so much positive feedback from the local media and the county administrators since being chosen as a Class AAAA Winner last year! ... It's also interesting to note that with all the budget woes and cutbacks in the state of Florida (one adjoining county has cut 400 teaching positions and here in Brevard County we're trying to make up a 31 million dollar deficit) not one cent or music position has been cut! The Superintendent is very proud to introduce the Wind Ensemble as "Florida's Music Ambassadors!" I truly believe the notoriety that we have received from National Wind Band Honors has had a hand in preventing any loses in music. Thank you for your support of music education. We will be waiting with our fingers crossed to hear the 2008 results!"
