On Saturday, January 21, 2006, the Choice Music Events Board of Trustees convened at the Corporate headquarters in Lubbock, Texas. In attendance were:

Dr. Fred Hardin – Deputy Superintendent of Schools – Lubbock Independent School District
Jon Locke – President – Choice Music Events
Gary Lewis – Director of Orchestral Activities – Texas Tech University
James Keene – Director of Bands – University of Illinois
Dr. David Kneupper – Composer, Conductor, and Sound Engineer – Kneupper Music, LLC
Dana Pradervand – Director of Bands – Judson High School
Nathan Ziegler – Attorney at Law – Shotts, Hurd, Ziegler, & Trevino, LLP

Unable to attend due to schedule conflicts were:

Anthony Maiello – Director of Instrumental Studies – George Mason University
Dr. Allen Hightower – Director of Choral Studies – Sam Houston State University

A reception was held following the Board of Trustees meeting. Music educators and supporters from across the United States were in attendance.
