Choice Music Events is pleased to announce the recent addition of Paul Black to its growing staff. Black will be heavily involved in grant research and writing for Choice Music Events along with taking on event coordination duties during festival season. “As a not-for-profit organization, we are at a point where we need to tap into grants so that we may pursue other projects in development,” said Dick Clardy, executive director of Choice Music Events. In addition to grant writing and event coordination responsibilities, Black will also handle press releases and internal communications.

Paul Black recently graduated Magna cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in electronic media & communication and music. While at Tech, Black was heavily involved in the University Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Tech Horn studio. Black also spent three summers with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle corps as a mellophone player, section leader, and soloist. Black’s musical experience combined with his educational success makes him an ideal fit for this position as Choice Music Events expands upon its current capabilities.
