Greetings from Choice Music Events (CME). CME is dedicated to providing all band, choir, and orchestra students positive, educational, and enriching performance opportunities while enhancing the music education profession. We are more committed than ever to serving you and your students with the largest and most comprehensive choice of festivals for Texas.
Choice Music Events is a full time music event and festival company that hosts Showcase of Music Festivals (SOM) in most of the major cities of Texas with multiple sites and weekends. These are in great concert halls with great adjudicators and professional recordings. We host multiple choral events and instrumental events in different halls each weekend in April and May. In an effort to control costs and to not employ a sales force, our events and festivals are accessed, priced, and scheduled the same for all tour companies. You may only want to buy the performance and that is okay. The tour companies are our sales force. Music Across Texas (MAT), which is managed by Rick Yancey, is the second performance division and it is an event that is more relaxed and priced accordingly. It is booked and operated directly with Mr. Yancey and involves a performance with park entry.

CME and MAT believe in student growth and development with over 100 unique opportunities for performance. We are committed to being comprehensively organized for each event and solicit the input of our customers.
CME hosts Showcase of Music performances at World Class venues that include the The Murchison PAC at the University of North Texas, the Charles W. Eisemann Center in north Dallas, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Majestic Theater in Dallas, the Lila Cockrell Theater in San Antonio, the Morris Cultural Arts Center in Houston, the Moores Opera House in Houston, the UTB Fine Arts Center in Brownsville, Texas, the TAMU-Corpus Christi PAC, The Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs, Symphony Center in Chicago, the Isaac Stern Auditorium/Ronald O. Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City and the very best high school PAC’s in all major Texas cities. Music Across Texas (MAT) produces performance opportunities for ensembles at all major amusement and water parks in Texas.
Together, CME and MAT retain services of over two hundred of the most prominent music educators to serve as adjudicators, clinicians and event coordinators for our events.
CME is an official Texas Certified Professional Education (CPE) provider for our participating Showcase of Music directors. CME supplies real time scheduling of performance slots and times when registering.

Dear Music Director and Potential 2013 Cavalcade of Music Participant,
I wanted to send you a special invitation to perform at the 2013 Cavalcade Showcase of Music on May 2-3-4. Choice Music Events will be producing this fantastic music festival in the world class Pikes Peak Center located in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the second year. Choice Music Events is a fulltime festival production company that produces quality events. We annually produce Showcase of Music Festivals in multiple cities produced in numerous professional halls.
